VERY worried and upset-will I get in trouble over this?!!!?

Why should the kids have to be so quiet? Your boyfriend had just got home he couldn't wait to go to sleep. I think tip toeing around a parent is just wrong and unfair. Kids need to be themselves. You were so angry you hurt your child. What happens the next time. Everyone is oh its all right it happens to everyone. No it doesn't. No matter what the situation is you need to keep calm. There is no excuse. You should feel bad. Your not going to lose your children over this but if in a stress-full situation you need to look out for this behavior. It gets easier after the first time to repeat and escalate.
