Do you think this horse would be to big for me?

So, I've been looking for a horse for a while now, I found a 16hh, He's a thoroughbred gedling he's a dark bay 16hh Off of the race track. He's about 7 years old, do you think the 16hh would be to big for a 5'0ft girl to ride? or not?
