How do trolls live, love and interact?

Are trolls solitary or do they interact in groups? Peter, 38 from my firm, was forced to give up YA because he was getting teased by trolls. He said he never wants to go on the internet ever again. I would like to gather information on their behaviour. Does anyone have anything to share on this?
