Is it true that beer has tons of salt? I know how beer is made but my dad said it has tons of salt?

i think hes just pullin my leg. i can usually tell but not his time. he knows i drank some beer (but he doesnt know how much!) andd i think he might be trying scare me from drinking beer in college. our family has the gene for hypertension the silent killer and so he might be using scare tactics. i know salt is not used to make beer but is there any salt made during the fermentation process?
