Headaches - a common phenomena...but what actually causes them?

Since the brain does not actually have any pain receptors in it - the brain itself never hurts nonetheless while having headaches the entire head AND brain seems to be on fire..why is that? What are the medical/biological causes behind it? What are the causes and why do some people ( me :( ) get headaches so much easier then others? Any answers are much appriciated!
