What's your opinion on Akita Inu dog breed? + please tell a dog story?

A friend of mine has an Akita, that I watched while they were on vacation. It was horrible! I will never let that dog in my house again. The first day the dog was at my house he bit me on the arm (required stitches) and attacked one of my dogs (also needed stitches). The dog would not do anything I told it to. It got into the garbage, would not use the bathroom outside, and was terribly aggressive. Not to mention, it shed everywhere! I ended up having to bill my friend the $2500 from the emergency room and vet bill. I'm sorry, but Akitas are not my cup of tea. It may just have been that dog or how he was raised, or him still being intact, but it was a bad experience all around.
