What's the name of a Big Blue Bird I saw in Boston? (read details)?

I was in Boston for the summer and I saw a Big Blue Bird on the walkway, it couldn't fly (maybe it was injured) but it moved fast and skipped away. It was probably 1 feet tall, but was really fat and it wings spread long. It was the color of a bluejay but I don't think it was one of those since it was rather big and tall.. any ideas? with pictures
