Virtual memory problems, services.exe?

Basically I'm on my works computer it's a laggy old thing And it's having problems with virtual memory so I checked what was using up all the VM and it's services.exe using up almost 1gb of VM I'm fairly sure it shouldn't be using that, I can't close it down so does anyone know how I can lower it?
